Before & After Care
At RIRI’s Clinic in Kegworth, your comfort and results are always our priority. To help you achieve the very best from your Dermalogica ProSkin 30 or 60 treatment, we’ve created a few simple aftercare guidelines to follow.
Caring for your skin before and after your appointment is essential to keep it comfortable, minimise irritation, and maintain healthy, radiant, and long-lasting results.
Before Your Treatment
To prepare your skin for the best results:
Avoid exfoliating products (scrubs, acids, retinols, or active ingredients) for 48–72 hours before your appointment
Avoid sunbeds, excessive sun exposure, or tanning products
Do not wax, thread, or use hair removal creams on the face 48 hours prior
Stop using strong active skincare (retinol, AHAs/BHAs, benzoyl peroxide) unless advised otherwise
Arrive with clean skin where possible and inform your therapist of any skin changes, medications, or sensitivities
After Your Treatment
Your skin may feel fresh, hydrated, and slightly sensitive. To maintain your results:
Avoid touching your face unnecessarily for the rest of the day
Do not apply heavy makeup for 24 hours (especially after extractions or exfoliation)
Avoid heat treatments such as saunas, steam rooms, hot showers, or intense exercise for 24 hours
Avoid exfoliants, retinols, or active ingredients for 2–3 days
Apply SPF daily to protect your skin
Keep skin hydrated with recommended moisturisers and serums
Follow the personalised homecare advice provided by your therapist
